I-70 Closes for 11 Hours | Denver Commercial Trucking Accident Attorney
KDVR reports a closure of I-70 in Eagle County that lasted about 11 hours, after a semi-truck crashed between Eagle and Glenwood Springs. The truck was carrying scrap metal, but also spilled about 60 gallons of diesel fuel, necessitating a hazmat cleanup. Traffic piled up, and was sent on a rather lengthy detour through Craig, adding several hours to the trip across the state. The road was finally opened, loosening the congestion again, but there is significant construction on I-70 in the mountains.
